Poisoned Apple

Last Sunday was the perfect opportunity to go out and take some lovely pictures and as you can see I've taken advantage of it, with lots of help from my friend Basia, who was taking the photographs. I had an idea for this photoshoot, which was basically Snow White, for quite a while, and it seemed kind of easy, because the only prop I needed was an apple. I love how these turned out and how beautiful the meadow with all of those daisies looks. The colours looked perfect and unintentionally kind of matched by outfit, in a way that one complimented the other.
That dress was actually still with the tags when I decided to wear it, although I've bought it last year I think. I've bought it on sale, but after a couple of weeks I started to think that I don't really want it, and I'll sell it...but I couldn't and I'm happy I haven't.

I was thinking about another photo shoot with a fairy tale theme, but still ...I can't really think of anything that would be kind of easy to achieve when it comes to props etc. and would suit me. Have you got any ideas maybe?
I hope the weather tomorrow will be as beautiful as last Sunday, as I want to go out and get some outdoors pictures for the forthcoming posts, as I love the pictures taken in the open air and in the sunny weather..the light is purely amazing then...

First Love Never Dies

Okay, so I'm now getting seriously bored with staying home and not having a job, and I can really feel that crisis on the job market badly, but I finally have some time to do the things I've never managed to make myself to do because of work! Last week, for example, I've borrowed two language courses and I've started to learn Japanese! I'm so happy about it, cause it's one of those languages I've always wanted to speak and it really is a challenge because it's nothing like the languages I've ever spoke. Speaking about the languages, I think it's one of those things I could occupy myself with all the time. First, I always knew that I'll be studying English, and so it happened, moreover I've ended up in the UK (came here to study social science). Apart from that I've been studying French at school, and Italian and Spanish in my free time and when visiting Italy or Spain, so I know them on the communicative level, although I'd like to study those further... Oh! And I've recently applied for a position of Polish-English, Eng-Pol translator and interpreter and I so want this job....it would be ideal for me! Fingers crossed...
The outfit is the one I've been planning to wear for more than 6 months! I've finally managed, and I think it'll be one of my favourite spring ensembles. Again I've bought that striped top in a charity shop for a pound!:D

The sea's evaporated
Though it comes as no surprise
These clouds we're seeing
They're explosions in the sky

Another day, another nautical outfit;) I think it's the sunny weather that makes me want to dress and incorporate the nautical into my outfits. This ensemble was built around the sweater, because I wanted to show it to you. I've bought it in a charity shop for only a pound! That was my first visit in that kind of shop, and I'm really satisfied with the result. I guess I'll soon be hunting for many more bargains in second hand shops.
The photos were taken on the second day of Easter by my friend Basia, who offered to help me with these, so we went for a walk to the river/sea side. There might be some more different photo backgrounds in the upcoming posts, because she also agreed to further picture taking during the weekends (if it's not raining, which might be quite difficult, because it's Scotland!) and I'm really happy about it, as I thought I would have to rely on myself and my teeny tiny tripod which I had to attach to trees ;D The weather was amazing on that day, so I really enjoyed the whole walk and photo shoot, followed by hot chocolate in the nearby cafe;)

Sailor Beware!

I've woken up today, thinking that all the interviews are behind me, but after some time I've received a letter inviting me for another one, so the stress isn't going away any time soon. I'm glad that I've got interviews, because that's a chance to show who you really are etc., but I guess I'm a bit too nervous and stressed before them;) Although I think I'm getting more confident with the whole interview procedure, which may helps me feeling relaxed a bit more. So now I'm just treating them as an experience, which helps me to get better and therefore, be less nervous.

The outfit shows my favourite summer notion, which I love more every single year, namely the NAUTICAL. I just adore everything that has something to do with this trend:D
The top is actually a sailor dress which I've already shown you some time ago, and the skirt was bought from a friend, who was clearing her wardrobe from the clothes she wasn't wearing anymore, for a couple of pounds. I just needed to take it a bit in, cause it was too big, and here it is...

Sleeping with Ghosts

I've finally managed to find some time for a new post, as I've been quite busy with looking for a job recently. I've got two job interviews next week and I'm already a bit stressed;D But as soon as the interviews will start, I'll get over it...I always do;)
In this entry I'll show you three of my DIYs, I'll present the rest some other time, so it'll be only leggings and shoes this time.
First came the leggings, at first I tried to cut them while I've had them on, as I wanted the cuts to be in the right place and the right length...but after a couple of minutes I've regretted it, because I've cut my leg quite bad;)) So I continued cutting holding them whilst holding them in my hands;)
And as for the shoes...I've just attached a couple of studs to them... I'm quite happy with the result..but...I want to do some more shoe studding, but more serious I suppose for a greater impact;) ...but I'll have to buy some plain gladiator sandals to do that...
