You're nothing but a pack of cards!

Oh, I know I've already told you that you won't see any summer looks on me, but you see I've recently found this dress and it was reduced to a pound, so it would be a crime not to buy it! That touch of colour on the top of the dress is actually a shade that I've never had on my clothes or accessories before (none that I remember) , but it looks good with a little bit of tan and it makes the dress just a wee bit more summery, apart from that I just really like the shape of it, especially those drapes at the sides.
I'm off to watch Breakfast at Tiffany's again ♥

Here are two more photos I found of Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

Tell me the truth, is it love or just Paris?

Summer have probably backed off from the land of Scots for good, which is affecting my mood, and therefore the way I dress as well. It's quite cold and it rains almost every day, so it's no more bright, colourful fabrics for me at the moment, once again it's back to my usual (and favourite) shades. This outfit have been sitting in my head for quite a long time now, and it kind of reminds me of France and the Parisian chic. I am so into outfits like this , which is quite a change to all of those dress-looks I usually present. I adore everything striped recently and everything that's high-waisted, and as you can see this look incorporates both;)
I've also got to mention the hat ... I almost never wear anything on my head except for headbands, I hate hats and caps of any kind, which is probably because they don't suit me, (or so I think) but it was different with this one, I fell in love with it instantly and it became my holiday hat...I guess it compliments this outfits quite well.

On another note, I recently visit my local cinema quite a lot ... Last week I've seen Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which I really enjoyed although I think there was too much of teenage drama in it;) Two weeks ago I've seen Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, which was fun and I really liked it, although I've got to admit the first two were better.
Now it's me waiting to see Coco Avant Chanel, I'm really looking forward to it, but the movie I most anticipate for quite some time now is Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland! I really can't wait, as I love Burton's movies and the general atmosphere of his pictures and Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite books (you've probably guessed that earlier;) )

Thanks ModCloth!

Some time ago lovely Lindsay contacted me and let me choose some items I like from ModCloth's range, which was such a hard task as their clothes, accessories and shoes are pure perfection, but the items I've chosen go with my ideal style for summer in a best way possible and I can't be any happier with my choices!
A few days ago I received a package, and I guess I don't have to tell you that I was over the moon! I've been looking for a perfect floral romper for ages and when I've seen this one I knew it is the perfect one! There is such a great vintage feel to it and it's got the perfect print, shape and detailing. The process of choosing the dress was quite hard as well, because they stock so many stunning dresses, but I love the nautical touch in clothing, therefore I totally fell in love with it when I've seen it! Another interesting thing is that I knew exactly what I'd accessorize these lovely pieces with! I've never experienced that before, so it was quite a fun experience;)
I've even got 2 additional gifts, which are a pair of really cute earrings and a headband!
I would probably want everything that they've got in their store. All of the pieces stocked on ModCloth promote vintage and indie clothing and come from small independent designers and sometimes even thrift stores which I absolutely love, as I've discovered a big love for everything vintage and unique in my choices recently and you can be sure that the item you're buying is well made and original!
Be sure to visit them if you haven't before! It's definitely worth it!

Thanks again ModCloth!

Shine the headlight, straight into my eyes
Like the roadkill, Im paralysed

I cannot believe the recent beautiful weather here in Scotland! I think it's the first time that it's so warm and sunny since I came here, that is about 3 years ago. Maybe I'll have some real summer after all;)
The fact I mentioned before is making me look for summer clothes, florals and bright colours, whereas as you can probably see looking at my outfits I am a person that's quite careful with colours and loves monochromatic looks. Today, influenced by sun and heat, I went shopping and bought this cute little floral dress, and for me lovely dresses like that, especially with the flower print on them are just waiting to be juxtaposed with some heavier accents like studs, zips or gladiators. That's why I've chosen that studded belt and cuffs to wear it with, the black tights and gladiator sandals are giving the outfit some more edge as well I guess.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway if your haven't yet! :*
